wups ignore the '=' typo

Well I have tried Optifine but it was just merely downloading any version I could find and just doing it(Which given the mod is Optifine, I had a high chance of crashing MC) and it didn't work so I didn't think much about it.

I've heard people say mods work though but I'm not sure which.

yeah same i read through the ones that work but it dosent say whether or not better sprinting or optifine work or not i also need NEI but i cant install that too

I got NEI to work :P Just you have to be in a crafting table or chest to see anything

You can get NEI to work, you just have to have a crafting table or a chest or something that has a GUI on it to be able to have nei open (Gui is chest,Crafting table, Etc.)

This page shows which mods are compatible or not with the Aether II mod. Of course, not all mods are there (in fact, few are at the moment) but this should help some of you.

For those who hadn't their problem solved with that link: Anything that graphically improves minecraft is probably NOT going to work. I don't think the mod can support such kind of mods at the moment (as it is in such early phase) so I would kindly ask you all to wait for the full release or check update notes to see if this will be fixed.

 Have you put the aether mod and better sprint in you minecraft.jar that might be the promblem cause mostly it wont work if its in there. Heres how to fix make a folder called mods (in the .minecraft folder) and put better sprint and aether 2 and put optifine in the jar and forge modloder and optifine might not work since aether 2 is a huge mod and optifine might not work if .     P.S for less lag turn down sound and music to abut 33% and change render distance most likey to normal if your computer can handle far its ok and change to max fps.
