Yes, there is, in 1.6.4.1 (I think it is) they have implemented in the Silver Dungeon, but it's not quite what you think. It's completely trashed. They also put 'Broken, decaying, overgrown... but never forgotten.'

You can, in Creative mode however, spawn in Angels which are close to Valkyries. They wear multiple types of armour and some a very glitchy as parts of them are just purple and black checkers.
To create an Aether portal, you simply make the same frame as you would with a Nether portal, but except instead of Obsidian, you use Glowstone Blocks, and instead of activating it by using a Flint and Steel, you simply pour a Bucket of Water somewhere inside the frame, and bing bang bong, you got an Aether portal.
If you're in Creative mode, simply go into your inventory, go to page 2 of items, click the Aether Blocks tab and the first block you should see is an Aether Portal block. You can just use that, it's pretty much the same.
The 'blue fire' is called Cold Fire, and if you manage to obtain this through a Continuum Orb, it instantly crashes your game. This may be the same problem you're having, even though you don't have it in your inventory. Unfortunatly, that problem can't be fixed, and I have no idea if yours can be fixed either. Sorry.
Are you dissapointed because it doesn't appear in you inventory? If so, that is meant to happen, you should have the key anyway, so just go and it should be fine. :P
