The Battle Sentry is a mob found in Slider's Labyrinth dungeons.
Spawning
Battle Sentries spawn from mob spawners found in Slider's Labyrinth or randomly hidden in blocks.
Behavior
Similar to the Detonation Sentry, in the way that Battle Sentries will hide in the block that they are on, until a player is near. Instead of causing the player to fly into the air, the Battle Sentry will charge at the player, jumping around it and hitting the player. In some ways, the Battle Sentry can be very hard to kill, as it will be constantly moving if any players are nearby.
Battle Sentries only attack when you are not looking at them, if they are on your screen for about a second, they will hide in the floor. If you attack them, they will attempt to hit you however, they will hide once again if you look at them long enough.
Tips
- Try to find a wall, if possible a corner, so that you can wait until they hide and stop moving. After they hide, you should try to take them out one by one, making sure to keep the other hidden ones on your screen as they will attack once you stop looking at them.
- Taking out spawners: you should try and keep all of the sentries on your screen and then take out the spawner from as far as you can. Make sure you have all the active ones killed first before even attempting as trying to break a spawner while being attacked is the last thing you should do in a dungeon, even if you have healing up.
Trivia
- Developer Jaryt uses a battle Sentry in a suit skin, in fact all main developers use skins of characters in suits. The only one not using a normal Aether mob head is OscarPayn's which depicts and old man. Jaryts Battle Sentry skin was made by OscarPayn
Issues
