The Launcher is the program located in the .aether directory that launches the game, with the filename launcher.jar. The profile.json file is affiliated with the launcher in that the JSON file is where login information is kept. The launcher can be downloaded here, and will automatically update. The launcher is not compatible with certain Macintosh computers.[1] The current version of the launcher is v1.1.
